Over many years, we have written books, articles, White Papers and given countless speeches and interviews on the subject of leadership.   Leadership is arguably the oldest topic in the management literature.  Surely, it is one of the most important.

Contributing our ideas and experiences, along with those of the senior leaders whom we serve, to the ongoing discussion has been an abiding passion.

As you consider our work, you’ll undoubtedly discover a consistent theme:  Leadership is largely a learned pattern of behavior—a discipline and capability.   Whatever the tasks of leadership in the modern enterprise, from formulating and driving strategy to creating a high-performance, horizontal organizations to ensuring that the next generation of leaders is ready, willing and able to step up to the task, effective leaders may vary in personality and temperament.  But they share a common trait:  They all are builders--of organizations, products and markets, and people.   And the truly high-performing leaders have the wisdom and self-confidence to build by developing leaders at every level of their organization.

Our writing on leadership contains many references to real leaders in real organizations, grappling with real issues.   We deeply appreciate the willingness of many of our clients to step forward to add their voices and experiences to improve how organizations are built and led.
